Intro: Air pollution is the presence of substances in the atmosphere that are harmful to the health of humans and other living beings, or cause damage to the climate or to materials.
How Air Pollution Effecting :
Day by day, Air quality is going down.
Our Cars, companies and many things are contributing in decrease air quality
Recent Effects (Events) :
Air Pollution Shrouds the Pearl River Delta 22 Jan 2018 :
Seen grey haze and white cloud
Air Quality Index : 150 - 200
High enough to be considered unhealthy
AQI Beijing : >500
Climate Changes:
Scientists suggest that climate change in recent decades has been mainly caused by air pollution containing
non-carbon dioxide greenhouse gases.
"Our estimates of global climate forcing's, or factors that promote warming, indicate that it is the processes producing non-CO2 greenhouse gases that have been more significant in climate change," Hansen said.
"The good news is that the growth rate of non-carbon dioxide greenhouse gases has declined in the past decade, and if sources of methane and tropospheric ozone were reduced in the future, further changes in climate due to these gases in the next 50 years could be near zero," Hansen explained.
"If these reductions were coupled with a reduction in both particles of black carbon and carbon dioxide gas emissions, this could lead to a decline in the rate of climate change.
Solutions:
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle:
Conserve Energy
Use of Public Transport
Avoid burning waster
Most Tragic Air Pollution Effects:
BHOPAL GAS TRAGEDY (3 Dec 1984)
CHERNOBYL NUCLEAR ACCIDENT (1986)
OZONE HOLE
MEUSE RIVER VALLEY FOG (1930)
SMOG (ST. LOUIS SMOG, DONORA SMOG, GREAT SMOG OD LONDON, NEW YORK CITY SMOG)
